History

Jade Travel was founded in 1987 by Janet Nelson, CTC, DS.

Jade Travel became well-known in the region for vacation travel expertise, with a special emphasis on international travel. In 1997, Jade Travel purchased King Travel, creating one of the strongest travel agencies in Kansas. In 2003, Jade Travel welcomed the additions of Mark I and World Wide Travel. And in 2004, opened an office in Manhattan Kansas. Our newest office is located in Concordia Kansas, and was added in the fall of 2004.

Jade Travel is a member of Ensemble Select Traveler Network. As a Select office, the bargaining power of a premier agency community is at your fingertips. When you confirm reservations with Jade Travel, and use any one of the Ensemble preferred tour operators or preferred cruise lines, Ensemble stands behind them. In addition, Ensemble offers a program of private label escorted tours and cruises, offering exclusive value added amenities and services.

Today, Jade Travel’s Vacation, Cruise, Group and Corporate travel departments feature agents with many years of experience and training in their chosen specialty.
